What we offer to our partners when the customer originates at Bright Spectrum:

  • Direct to Customer Contact – We prefer the method of getting customers directly in contact with our partners so that the waters don’t get muddied with 3rd party translation and complicated, marked-up proposals that lose more jobs than they win. Unless the customer requests otherwise, we do a direct pass-through and allow our partners to work face-to-face, providing the customer with a separate contract for services.
     
  • No Service Markup/Referral Fee – Unless there is no significant work Bright Spectrum, we do not markup any partner services even in the case of a combined proposal. In our experience, the average 20% markup has been the sole cause of a lot of great opportunities lost, and for what? We figure if we aren’t doing that portion of the work why get paid for it, we’ll stick with making money on what we do.

  • Continuous Opportunities –We recommend partners for jobs based on prior experience in the industry and other services the customer is looking for. In some cases, there is a clear advantage to working with specific partners on specific projects, at other times we will get bids from several partners for a specific job. Additionally we submit RFPs to partners for lead and subcontract opportunities.

What we can offer to our partners when the customer originates with them:

  • No claim to fame – While we do list some of the sites that we’ve done on our site, Bright Spectrum isn’t worried about placing our byline on every web site that we produce. Heck, it’s easier to sell design than strictly development. 
     
  • Not a Whole Lot of Techno-babble – Unlike many developers, we actually pride ourselves at being able to be customer-facing. We can talk to customers in a language that they understand and that can clearly showcase the capabilities and benefits of the solution being offered, without all the unnecessary tech talk that drives most people up a wall.  
     
  • Experienced and Trustworthy - With several years of experience, a refined process and a documented history of delivering for partners on time and on budget, you can trust that your job will be completed as promised. We don’t over promise functionality that can’t be completed within a specified deadline or budget, we don’t commit to deadlines that we know we can’t meet, and we are adamant about being realistic on budgets. 
     
  • Available and Accountable – You will never need to explain how we dropped the ball. If you are leading a project we will keep in contact with on a regular basis via both phone an email, informing you of the status of your project when it is in our hands.
